Ian is married to Gwenna, who is a special education teacher with the Toronto District School Board. They have twin daughters, Jillian and Lauren who are students at the University of Toronto and active leaders and participants  in the ministry of Glenbrook and Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship.

Ian seeks to make his gifts of ministry, whether it be leadership, preaching, teaching pastoral care and visiting, reflect the love of the Triune God of grace. He believes that Christians are called to participate in God’s reconciling mission to the world in Christ and by the Holy Spirit and encourages our congregation to see themselves as participants in this mission, and to enjoy using their gifts whether it is through prayer, worship, pastoral care, youth ministry, mission trips and social events to this end.

Ian enjoys playing the guitar, reading, gardening, travelling, biking and playing the occasional round of golf.  His congregation knows that he is also a very passionate Toronto Maple Leaf Fan.

Glenbrook Presbyterian Church is a congregation made up of people who come from diverse cultural backgrounds and varied life experiences. We celebrate that diversity. Yet Glenbrook is also a congregation where we celebrate our community together, brought together in Jesus Christ.

We are a community that prays and worships together. We are a community that cares for each other. We are a community that strives to reach out with the good news of Jesus. We are a community, not formed because of anything we have done, but because of the grace of God. I am reminded of the scripture passage “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God,that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

I am grateful to God to pastor and to belong to this community of faith here at Glenbrook. For more information please contact us either by phone or e-mail.

God bless you.
