“Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:1-10
Reflection for The Week:
Jesus is on his way to Jerusalem, and he is distracted by a short man in a tree, a man who is despised and rejected. The shocker is that Jesus calls out to Zaccheus, by name and invites himself over to his house. Zaacheus falls out the sycamore in disbelief. Maybe even more shocking is that Jesus extends his saving grace to Zaccheus. Today, it is a reminder that we have all been called by name, regardless of who or what we have done and invited without hesitation to have Jesus come and live in us.
