ESL Class 2024

Students and volunteers

This is our second year running our Free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes at Glenbrook Church. Currently, we have 16 regular students, along with several dedicated teachers and helpers who participate in the lessons.

We learned about other cultures. Reiko played Sakura, a song about spring, on her kato, a traditional 13 string instrument. Melody handed out red packets and explained that if they contained money, they should be opened in private. Hers contained candy so we could open them right away.

We made them sing Christmas songs - with actions. They found our traditions … fascinating.
