GLENBROOK ANNOUNCEMENTS

PRAYER REQUESTS

As was mentioned in last week's announcements, we have updated our email prayer line which is now being handled by Ward and Lois Pipher. A good number of our congregants have volunteered to pray for those who submit a request to the prayer line. Those with prayer requests can use the email address prayer@glenbrook.ca to have their request shared with the prayer team. We have already shared a couple of requests with the group and hope these have been delivered to your email inbox if you are part of the prayer line.

If you are a member of the prayer team and have not received any prayer requests in the past couple of days, please check your spam folder, as the request may have been directed there. Please be sure to move the spammed email to your inbox and include the prayer@glenbrook.ca address to your contact list. This should ensure that future emails sent from the prayer line email address will be delivered to your inbox. Thanks to Gill Trout for her faithful service, facilitating the prayer chain and making sure that all who request prayer are served.

CONGREGATIONAL GIVINGS

Thank you for your continued support! To make your offering, please review the various donation options available below.

E-Transfer: Simply send your donation via Interact E-Transfer, to treasurer@glenbrook.ca and please make sure to include in your email your envelope number or mailing address and which fund you want your donation to be allocated to.

Weekly offering Envelopes: Choosing this method involves being assigned a designated weekly envelope number. The weekly offering envelopes will be supplied to you for placing your contribution on the offering plate each Sunday.

P.A.R. (Pre-Authorized Remittance): As an alternative to regular weekly offering envelopes, this is a perfect time to join our PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance) program. In doing so you don’t have to worry about picking up your envelopes or mailing/dropping off cheques. Here is the information you need to know about the PAR program. Under this arrangement, a monthly debit is made by the United Church of Canada on behalf of Glenbrook Presbyterian Church to your account on the 18th of each month. You can allocate funds the same way you do with your regular offering envelopes. You can also make changes, (increasing, decreasing, or cancelling) your pre-authorized amount at any time. If you would like to be part of this plan, please contact the church office. - Please note that a prescribed 2-3% service charge and a $0.50 pre-authorized debit charge will be paid by Glenbrook.

Canada Helps: Donate online through Canada Helps which withdraws your weekly offerings each week with an associate fee of 4.5% that is paid by Glenbrook church.

Blessings,

Selene Naranjo

FAMILY CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

On Friday, December 12, Glenbrook families and friends gathered for a Celebration of Christmas. There were crafts, games (even a reindeer game!), songs, and a wonderful time of fellowship as we shared a meal together. It was a lot of fun!! Some of our ESL students joined us and Rev. Stephen Rothery came with his family.

Thank you to all those who attended. Thank you also to those who helped set up and clean up. The help is greatly appreciated.

I am looking forward to the next Glenbrook family event

Nancy
