Hello Glenbrook,
A quick hello and brief message from the office. As always, I hope you are all doing great and enjoying this fabulous season…. which seems to be flying by! We have some special guests joining us in the next few weeks for Sunday Service.
On August 10th Rev. Susie Choi will join us, August 17th Samantha de Jourdan and August 24th will be Pastor Steven. Please join us.
A brief bio on Rev. Susie Chow,
Susie is a follower of Christ, humbled by the relentless pursuit of God's love that called her out of darkness into His light, giving her a new song of hope. She's married to her best friend and confidant, Eric. They will be celebrating their 22nd wedding anniversary soon. Together, they have an imaginative, creative, and free-spirited daughter, Anaiah, and a fur-son named Munji. Susie holds a Master of Divinity and a Master in Pastoral Studies with a certificate in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy. She is a Certified Spiritual care practitioner with CASC and a Registered Psychotherapist. She works in Spiritual Care at the Toronto General Hospital embedded in the Cardiac program and currently serves on the board of governors for Knox College.

Update from Pastor Steve
Hi Folks, I hope you are enjoying your summer. In terms of the next steps at Glenbrook, I also just want to give a bit of an update. I met with Session a few weeks ago and we decided that we would not seek to appoint an “Interim Minister” for 1-2 years but rather would continue to focus on Pulpit supply start the process of forming a search committee.
The pulpit supply for Sunday services will be covered by a range of different people over the summer and I am working on finding someone who can provide more consistent preaching for October through to Christmas.
In terms of the Search Committee, this is a Session responsibility, so they are currently seeking to discern how best to form this committee to help Glenbrook take the next steps to fill the vacancy.

Come join our friends involved in the Good Neighbours Foodgrains Project Sunday August 17th
Location: Browns United Church - Thorndale ON, (about a 2-hour drive)
Travel: Carpooling will be arranged
Time: Cars will leave the church parking lot at 2pm returning about 9pm
BBQ details: Entertainment at 5:15, BBQ dinner at 6:00 pm.
NO COST: Donations appreciated. (If you could donate a salad or dessert item that would be helpful (but not required).)
