November 28, 2025
Hello, Glenbrook!
As we reach the end of November and the beginning of Advent it’s incredible to see how quickly the year has flown by. Every Friday when I send out the What’s New? I feel like I just sent the last email the day before. This December we have some wonderful events here at Glenbrook so please be sure to scroll down. We also have the new sign on Burnhamthorpe that will have important information displayed. Also, if you know anyone that isn’t receiving this email, please remind them that the Glenbrook website has all the information as well.
Lastly, starting this Sunday and for the duration of Advent please join us to sing some Christmas carols before Sunday Service. We would like to start the carols at around 9:45am, see you there.
We have Rev. Dr. Victor Shepherd speaking at Glenbrook this Sunday the 30th and December 7th and 14th.
Have a great week!
Andrea
GLENBROOK ANNOUNCEMENTS
MUSICAL MEMORIES COFFEE HOUSE
Lloyd and I would like to thank everyone who came out to our Musical Memories Coffee House on November 22 and everyone who volunteered to help out. It was a wonderful afternoon! During the Coffee House, we were collecting donations for Food Banks Mississauga and raised $ 1,419! With their network of partners and donors, Food Banks Mississauga can provide one meal for every dollar donated. (1,420 meals!! WOW!!) Your generous donations will be greatly appreciated by so many!!
During the Coffee House, we had the opportunity to write notes of encouragement to those who are using the Food Bank. If you would like to write a note, there are Food Banks Mississauga ‘cards’ on the table near the entrance to the church.
OPEN DOOR
Hello to everyone in our Glenbrook Family, it has been a Glenbrook custom to purchase gift cards and give them to The Open-Door Outreach Ministry this time each year. These cards will allow clients of the Open-Door Ministry at Square One to receive funds that will give them an opportunity to make seasonal purchases for themselves and their families.
Ideally, you buy the cards and bring them to church OR use the glenbrookpcevents@gmail.com to etransfer amounts that you wish to be purchased on your behalf. These cards will be delivered to the Open-Door for distribution to those in need.
You can give donations designated “For Open Door Gift Cards” with your offering. Offering stewards will let me know the amount of funds allocated for this initiative and Glenbrook will get the proper number of $25 Walmart gift cards.
Each client from the Open Door will receive a $25 Walmart gift card.
We wish all funds to be received at church by Wednesday December 10th.
May you all be blessed as you reach out to be the hands of Jesus this Christmas.
MUFFINS FOR MISSIONS
Next Sunday will be a Muffins for Missions with donations going to The Open Door. A “Baker's Needed Form” will be out on the lobby table this Sunday.
SOUP IN A STOCKING???
Odd, maybe but we think you could give soup as a Christmas gift to family and/or friends. After all who doesn't want help deciding what to have for a nutritious lunch?
You can make your order at the lobby table for the next 2 Sundays OR there is a new way for Glenbrook to order. Go to Home | Raw Carrot Champions then just browse, choose, and pay by entering the code, GLENBROOK in the "Coupon or Gift Card" field. Your order will automatically be grouped and picked up with any of Glenbrook's orders
