PASTORAL SEARCH UPDATE
With the congregational profile completed and submitted to the Ministry and Church Vocations office at the end of December, Pastor Steve Rothery, our interim moderator, has begun reviewing profiles sent to him by the national office for our search committee’s consideration. Our committee will meet on Monday, January 19th to begin preparing for interviews which includes generating questions for prospective candidates. The following week, we will meet with Steve to review profiles that have been submitted and any new ones that arrive in the meantime. We continue to ask the congregation to uphold the committee in prayer as we work together through our process.
Thank you

Your donations are greatly appreciated!

Our first Open Door lunch date is Thursday February 5th.
Donations of desserts (maybe cupcakes this time) and of salads will be needed.

COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR WALK
People walk in the Coldest Night of the Year Walk (CNOY) to support organizations that help those in need. This year Nancy Law will be walking to raise money for The Dam Youth Drop-In Centre. DAM is an acronym for Develop, Assist and Mentor. This is what they do at The Dam. It is a welcoming space for all youth. If you would like to join in the walk, please let her know. If you cannot join us, I hope that you will consider helping us in our fundraising efforts. To join the walk or to donate, please see the link below.
TAX RECEIPTS
Don’t Forget!
March to December 2025 Tax Receipts Available.
Your tax receipts are ready! Receipts have been emailed to those with registered email addresses. If we do not have your email on file, please contact the church office to arrange an alternate pickup or delivery.
Note: You will notice that we have issued two separate tax receipts for your 2025 donations.
Earlier last year, the CRA confirmed that donations made up to February 28, 2025, could be deducted on 2024 tax returns. To accommodate this, we split our reporting into two distinct periods:
The first receipt was issued on March 2, 2025, covering donations made in January and February.
The second receipt covers the remainder of the year, from March to December 2025, was issued on January 3, 2026.
We have provided both to ensure you have complete records for your filings.
Thank you,
Selene
