Hello Glenbrook!
Hello from the Easter Edition of the ....What's New? I hope you are all doing well on this chilly Thursday. Please join us tomorrow Friday April 3rd at 10 am at Glenbrook for our Easter Service in the sanctuary as we recognize Good Friday and all the sacrifices Jesus has made for us. After the service we will be serving hot crossed buns and refreshments. On Easter Sunday we will have a quartet starting our celebration which will be lovely!
In this season of rebirth and joy may you shed your worries and have faith that God is always by your side. The greatest gift of Easter is hope.

CHOIR PRACTICE
We will have choir practice this week for the Good Friday and Easter Sunday Services. Choir practice is on Thursday night ( tonight! ) at 7:00 pm
FREE INCOME TAX PREPERATION
Glenbrook is a registered organization with the CRA's CVITP (Community volunteer income tax preparer) program. If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation, we can prepare and file your income taxes for free. CONGREGATIONAL ROLL & NEW MEMBERS
A reminder to please check your name on the lists on the front table to help us ensure our congregational roll is accurate. You will notice that there are members and adherents. Members and adherents share many of the same privileges and responsibilities, however there are a few items that require membership to participate. In the Presbyterian Church in Canada, only members are able to vote and sign the call for a new minister.
For those that have expressed an interest in becoming a member at Glenbrook, Pastor Steve will hold the classes for New Members on Sunday April 12 and 19 at 2:00 in the Board Room. If you are interested, please let Nancy Alexander or an elder know
WOMEN'S DAY LUNCHEON
We will host a Women’s Luncheon on Saturday, April 18 from 11am-2pm for the women from Glenbrook and St. Thomas A Becket churches. Emma Goldstein from PWS&D will be speaking about the work they are doing to help women in their international ministries. Please sign up if you are interested in attending. A free will offering is appreciated on the day of the event.
CAMP CAIRN
Camp Cairn is our Presbyterian Church Camp in Muskoka. They have a variety of camps for children and youth but also opportunities for you to enjoy camp with your family and friends. All ages camps include Family Camp, Away at the Lake, and Fall by the Fireside. There is something for everyone! INDWELL EVENT
Indwell wanted to thank Glenbrook for their ongoing support. We are helping them to create affordable housing communities that support people seeking health, wellness and belonging. We are invited to join them for a night of purpose, celebration and transforming lives, supporting Hope and Homes for all. On Thursday, April 23rd, 2026, Summit Garden Chinese Cuisine (3015 Winston Churchill Blvd) is hosting an amazing (and delicious) fundraiser for Indwell- “Opening More Doors with Indwell: Supportive Housing that Transforms Live”.

OPEN DOOR TOILETRIES DRIVE
Toiletries Drive for the Open Door is running until Easter
During Lent, we will be collecting donations of toiletries for the Open Door.
Toiletries (deodorant, body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap)
Diapers (baby and adult), Pull-Ups (size 3,4, 5)
Feminine hygiene products
We will have a basket available to collect donations by the front table.
