Hello Glenbrook!
Summer is finally here, bringing with it the season of growth and light. Things seem to slow down a bit here in the office during the summer months as many people are away. Some people like to use this time as a time of reflection, prayer and renewal of the soul. Outside, every blooming flower reminds us of God's generosity and the importance to stop and literally "smell the flowers". Summer also provides us with harvest and we see this in our community garden which is producing some beautiful veggies already. Let's carry the spirit of gratitude and renewal with us into these sunlit months.
Have a great week,
Andrea
UPDATE ON CALLING THE REV. JINSIL PARK TO GLENBROOK
Following the vote from the Glenbrook congregation to call the Rev. Jinsil Park, the decision needed to be approved by both our Presbytery (Brampton) and the Presbytery of Winnipeg, where Rev. Park was a member. This week, both Presbyteries had meetings where they approved the call to Glenbrook, and Rev. Park formally accepted it.
Everything is now in place for Rev. Park to begin his ministry at Glenbrook from August 1. He plans to move to Mississauga in July, with the exact date to be confirmed, so you may see him around the congregation before his formal start.
The Presbytery of Brampton has scheduled the induction service for September 13, with the exact time to be confirmed. Following the induction, my role as Interim Moderator will formally conclude.
Thanks again for all the work done by the congregation, the search committee, and the Session. Please pray for the ongoing life and ministry of the congregation in this time.
Thanks and God bless,
Rev. Stephen Rothery

The Summer Break is fast approaching for school aged children. We want to inform Glenbrook that there will be no planned Sunday School classes during July and August. Activity Bags and books will be available every Sunday to borrow while in the service. We may at times have a volunteer take children out to the garden to water and check progress. The Sunday School volunteers wish everyone a wonderful Summer.
