Hello Glenbrook!
Wishing you all well. Following a wonderful, busy Saturday hosting Reverend Jinsil we want to ensure everyone stays informed. For those who couldn't make it to the meet-and-greet, please see the detailed next steps outlined below under the Pastoral Search Update section.
This Sunday, we celebrate Father’s Day by honouring all the incredible men in our lives. We thank our fathers and father figures who have guided us with wisdom, patience, and love. We also fondly remember those who are no longer with us, keeping their cherished lessons, laughter and unconditional love alive in our hearts every single day.
Proverbs 20:7

Have a great week,

PASTORAL SEARCH UPDATE
On Sunday June 14, the congregation met immediately following worship to vote on the call to Rev. Jinsil Park. The call carried unanimously, and the call documents have since been signed by members and adherents. Elders are continuing to reach out to those who were not able to be present at the meeting, to give them the opportunity to subscribe to the call or indicate their concurrence.
Next Steps
The call now moves through two presbyteries before it becomes official:
Tuesday, June 23 — Presbytery of Brampton. The call documents will be presented to Brampton, which will be asked to sustain the call and transmit it to the Presbytery of Winnipeg.
Thursday, June 25 — Presbytery of Winnipeg. Once Brampton has transmitted the call, Winnipeg will consider it and put it formally into the hand of Rev. Park, who will then have the opportunity to accept.
Looking Ahead
Contingent on approval from both presbyteries and Rev. Park's acceptance, our current expectation is:
Early July: Rev. Park arrives in Mississauga
Mid July: Rev. Park begins at Glenbrook
Sunday, August 2: Rev. Park begins leading worship services
Please note these dates are tentative and may shift as the formal process unfolds. We will share an update as soon as we have confirmation from both presbyteries.
In the meantime, Rev. Dr. Victor Shepherd continues in Stated Supply through to the end of July, and we are grateful for his faithful preaching and pastoral care during this season.
Please continue to hold the congregation, Rev. Park and his family, and the work of both presbyteries in your prayers as we move through these final steps.
Rev. Stephen Rothery
LADIES' LUNCH
Ladies' Lunch on Tuesday, June 23 at 12 noon. A decision as to where we should go: Montana's on Dundas by Canadian Tire (Winston Churchill) or Chuck's Roadhouse in Westdale Mall. Let me know your thoughts on the sign-up sheet and I will confirm reservations.
Thank you!
Bonnie

SUNDAY SCHOOL
The Summer Break is fast approaching for school aged children. We want to inform Glenbrook that there will be no planned Sunday School classes during July and August. Activity Bags and books will be available every Sunday to borrow while in the service. We may at times have a volunteer take children out to the garden to water and check progress. The Sunday School volunteers wish everyone a wonderful Summer.
JUNE/JULY SCHEDULE OF VOLUNTEERS
Please let me know if there are any dates which I need to change or move for you. If you would like to join the volunteer team even once every few months, let me know.
