Hello Glenbrook!
Well, Canada's run in the World Cup came to an end but what a fabulous journey that was. Congratulations to the team for being such a class act and representing our country so beautifully. 🍁
A quick reminder about Jim's BBQ event on Wednesday July 22nd! The ordering deadline is approaching quickly, so if you are interested, please sign up soon. You can find the sign-up sheets on the lobby table. Jim's chicken is absolutely delicious, and it all goes towards a fantastic cause! Help us reach our order goal this year; scroll down for more details. We are also looking for volunteers to help with the lemonade service. You can find a separate sign-up sheet in the lobby as well.

UPDATE ON CALLING THE REV. JINSIL PARK TO GLENBROOK
Following the vote from the Glenbrook congregation to call the Rev. Jinsil Park, the decision needed to be approved by both our Presbytery (Brampton) and the Presbytery of Winnipeg, where Rev. Park was a member. Recently, both Presbyteries had meetings where they approved the call to Glenbrook, and Rev. Park formally accepted it.
Everything is now in place for Rev. Park to begin his ministry at Glenbrook from August 1. He plans to move to Mississauga in July, with the exact date to be confirmed, so you may see him around the congregation before his formal start.
The Presbytery of Brampton has scheduled the induction service for September 13, with the exact time to be confirmed. Following the induction, my role as Interim Moderator will formally conclude.
Thanks again for all the work done by the congregation, the search committee, and the Session. Please pray for the ongoing life and ministry of the congregation in this time.

Congratulations to our dear friend Leonie Graham on the occasion of her 100th Birthday on July 4, 2026. Leonie has been a faithful member of Glenbrook for many years and continues to follow our livestream services. 🎂🎈
MEN'S LUNCH
The Men's lunch returns on Wednesday July 15th at noon at Mulligans Pub and Grill. Please leave your name on the sign-up sheet if you would like to attend.
LADIES' LUNCH
The Ladies' lunch will be on Tuesday, July 28th at noon at Montana's located at 2530 Hyde Park Gate ( Canadian Tire Store, corner of Dundas & Vega Blvd/Hyde Park Gate) If you are interested and available, please leave your name on the sign-up sheet.

LEMONADE SCHEDULE
Looking For Volunteers for LEMONADE REFRESHMENT TIME 🍋
We want to give our regular coffee volunteers a well-deserved break this summer! A sign-up sheet with available dates is now ready. Please pick a date, write your name down, and help us out. Your duties will include:
- arrive at 9:30
- make frozen lemonade from the kitchenette fridge freezer
- 1 large plastic jug is good (found in the corner cupboard)
- 1 large jug of cold water too
- set up rolling cart with supplies, napkins, plastic cups from cupboard
- decide if the weather allows for outdoor drinks (last year we avoided the hottest days) There is no problem having drinks inside where people can sit and chat too.
- come out of church service during last hymn and prepare for "Refreshment Time"

CHICKEN BBQ
The Chicken BBQ will be Wednesday July 22nd from 5pm- 7pm
Meals are $20 to be paid in cash or e-transferred to glenbrookpcevents@gmail.com
Help us keep our tradition alive! Historically, we have reached our goal of 125 meal orders, but we only have two Sundays left, July 12th and 19th. We invite you to bring your friends, and we are also excited to welcome St. Thomas to join us. Please sign up soon! You can register at the Lobby table, call the office at 905-820-9860, or speak directly with Cynthia. See you this Sunday!
Your meal will include, cold drinks, a bun and butter, 1/2 piece of chicken and assorted salads and ice cream for dessert.
EMCC PICNIC
The EMCC picnic will be on Sunday August 23rd. You will find a sign-up sheet on the lobby table if you are interested in attending. There is also a sign-up sheet for volunteers, if you can help out that would be great. Please note that the sign-up deadline is Sunday August 16th.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
There is no Sunday School for July and August.
Activity Bags will be by the lobby table for children to borrow during the service. (When there are more than 2 kids we may leave for activities)
