DEVOTIONAL
Serving, Not Self-Serving
When Jesus visited Mary and Martha in Luke 10, Martha chastised Jesus that he allowed her sister Mary to sit listening at his feet rather than help with the preparations for the meal. Jesus kindly rebukes her and sets her priorities straight. Martha thought Mary's way of serving was inferior to hers. She didn't realize that in her desire to serve, she was actually neglecting her guest.
Are you so busy doing things for Jesus that you're not spending any time with him? Don't let your service become self-serving.
Luke 10:41-42 – "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, " you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

WELCOME REV. JINSIL PARK!
Welcome to Rev. Jinsil Park! As you may have seen or heard, Rev. Jinsil Park has made the move to Mississauga. While he officially starts on August 1st, you may see him around as he gets settled. Be sure to say "Hi" and welcome him to Glenbrook.
With Jinsil's arrival, it means that our time with Rev. Victor Shepherd as our "Interim" minister is coming to a close. July 26 will be his final Sunday preaching with us. We want to thank him for his ministry over the past year, it has truly been a blessing. Victor and his wife Maureen are a part of our Glenbrook community so we look forward to continuing to see them at church and other functions.

The Ladies' lunch will be on Tuesday, July 28th at noon at Montana's located at 2530 Hyde Park Gate ( Canadian Tire Store, corner of Dundas & Vega Blvd/Hyde Park Gate) If you are interested and available please leave your name on the sign-up sheet.
