Hello Glenbrook!
With September arriving, the fall season is bringing plenty of energy to Glenbrook. We have a few new announcements to share, so please ensure you scroll all the way down to review them. All details are provided below for the upcoming launch of our ESL classes this Tuesday, the Open Door this Thursday, and the return of Sunday school and games. Finally, it is the closing weekend for the C.N.E.—try to check it out if you want to brave the crowds one last time!

PASTOR JINSIL'S INDUCTION SERVICE
Pastor Junsil's induction service will be on Sunday September 13th at 4:00 pm at Glenbrook. There will be light refreshments after the service. Please join us!
McWHINNIE'S CUP GOLF TOURNMENT & DINNER
Glenbrook’s McWhinnie’s Cup golf tournament, formally Glenbrook’s “Ryder Cup”, will be held on Saturday, September 12th at Oakville Executive’s Angel’s View 9-hole golf course located at 4414 Fourth Line, Oakville L6M 4E8 with the first tee-off time @ 2:27 PM.
Everyone planning to golf must sign up no later than Sunday September 6th since teams and names have to be submitted to the golf course before September 8th.
Every golfer, if they have not yet done so, needs to complete the online waiver below. The link to sign the waiver and or QR code that can be scanned are below:

Dinner and prize presentations will be held in Glenbrook’s Hearth Room with dinner starting around 7:00 PM. Dinner fees: $10.00 per person.
The Prize Fund fees, which include 2 mulligans per player, are $10.00. The mulligans may only be used when putting on the green. Both the Prize and Dinner fees are payable to george.ryder@sympatico.ca no later than September 6th.
Golfer’s Fees:
Prize Fund that includes 2 mulligans: $10.00 per player. The mulligans may only be used when putting on the green.
Non-Golfers & Golfers:
Dinner fees: $10.00 per person.
Deadline for Commitment to Golf / Dinner is Tuesday Sept 1, 2026
All profits will be donated to the OPEN DOOR.
ESL CLASSES ARE RETURNING!
ESL Classes are returning on September 8th at Glenbrook. Please share with your neighbours and help spread the invitation to join us on Tuesdays 9:30 am - 11:30 am.

COFFEE TIME
The seasons will change soon and one thing many of us like about this change is the return of Coffee Time following church services. For the long Labour Day Weekend there will still be Lemonade and cold drinks. There will be Coffee and Tea If anyone would be able to join our Coffee Volunteer List please know that it is a simple and very rewarding job. Let Cynthia know if you can help. A schedule is made up in the office and will come out in the What's New.

MEN'S LUNCH
The Men's lunch will be on Wednesday September 16th at noon. It will be at Mulligan's Pub. Please sign up if you are planning on attending, there is a sign up sheet on the front lobby table.

Ournext gathering for the Ladies' Lunch is on September 22nd. The location will be at Chuck's Road House at Westdale Mall, 1151 Dundas St. West at noon.

SEEKING ROOM RENTAL
Dear friends, we have been asked if we could help a friend who is looking for an unfurnished room to rent in the local area.
She is a friend of Bonnie's, she is employed and would need new accommodation by mid-October
If you know of a room that may be available, or think you may be able to help in any way, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Children from kindergarten to grade 6 are invited to join together in the Hearth Room. We will start the morning with our families in the main service and directly following the saying of The Lord's Prayer a message will appear on the big screen and a leader and shepherd will rise and invite any Sunday School children to leave together.
This Sunday will be a reacquaint and game time for everyone. We will even enjoy a sweet treat to kick this programming year off with energy. Let's get ready for learning, praying and feeling the love of God!
