November 7, 2025
I hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying this lovely November weather. A friend of mine who lives up by Algonquin Park sent me a photo of a beautiful lake and a light blanket of snow on the forest floor. Soon the snow will arrive here in Southern Ontario, along with all the lovely Christmas markets scattered among our towns. Niagara on the Lake always lights up their town so beautifully as does St. Jacobs, Strafford even Oakville if you don’t want to venture too far. There are some new events coming up for the holiday season so we will keep you posted, until then have a lovely day.
Afriendly reminder that we have Rev. Dr. Victor Shepherd speaking at Glenbrook on Sunday Nov 9th, 16th and 23rd.
Have a great week,
Andrea
GLENBROOK ANNOUNCEMENTS
CONGREGATIONAL PASTORAL SEARCH LUNCHEON THIS SUNDAY
The Pastoral Search Committee is inviting our Glenbrook folks to a light lunch and congregational meeting immediately following this Sunday’s Service. After lunch, we will work in table groups to get feedback from our congregants to assist our Search Team. Your thoughts on who we are and how we see ourselves as a congregation, and what qualities we think are important in a new pastor will be the focus of our discussion. We have prepared a number of discussion questions for each table group and a representative from the team will take notes during our sharing time. For any who are not comfortable sharing in a discussion format, we will send out the discussion question via a special “What’s New?” this coming week and folks can write out their thoughts and place them in the feedback box on the table at the entrance for the following two Sundays. We look forward to our time together and hearing your thoughts as we undertake our Congregational Profile together.
OPEN DOOR LUNCH - THURSDAY NOVEMBER 20TH
Last Sunday you heard that pasta is being provided by donation from Molinaro's Catering on Ridgeway Drive, in addition chicken has been donated by Shoppers Drug Mart. Cooks have already been named.
What is still needed for this lunch are salads and desserts for 70 people. These items can be store-bought or homemade.
Please see Cynthia and/or the sign-up sheet for information on this lunch.
Thanks,
Cynthia
